12-year-old taken to hospital after being hit by car in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — New Bedford police said a 12-year-old was taken to the hospital on Friday after being hit by a car.

The crash happened at about 7 p.m. at the intersection of Wood and Vernon streets.

The 12-year-old was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have not charged the driver at this time.
