13-year-old struck by slow-moving car in Providence
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said that a 13-year-old girl was struck by a car while crossing Hawkins Street Thursday.
Spokesperson Lindsay Lague said that the car was traveling at a “low rate of speed” when the car hit her on her right side.
She added that the girl reported pain in her right hip, and was transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene while police and fire responded.
