17-year-old victim of Taunton homicide was set to be a dad, GoFundMe created for services

TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — A GoFundMe has been created to raise money for the funeral services of a 17-year-old who was shot and killed last week in Taunton.

17-year-old Khamitri Cole died on Lothrop street in Taunton on Sept. 19.

Police say 18-year-old Kareem Gendraw is the one who shot the teen.

He was arrested late last night in connection to Cole’s death.

In the GoFundMe, Cole’s mother Leahmarie said Khamitri was a “smart, loving, compassionate kid who would give you the shirt off his back, and shoes off his feet.”

“Khamitri has left behind his twin brother as well as 6 other siblings older and younger,” the post states.

“He also has many nieces and nephews that looked up to him. Khamitri also leaves behind his unborn son,” it further states.

So far, the GoFundMe has raised $425.
