18-year-old arrested after fatal stabbing in Brockton

BROCKTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The Plymouth District Attorney’s Office said one man was arrested after a fatal stabbing Saturday morning.

Around 1:55 a.m., Brockton police received a 911 call from an individual who said their family member was stabbed at a home on Foster Street.

At the scene, first responders discovered a male with multiple stab wounds.

The victim, identified as 19-year-old Kyre Ambrose, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

After reviewing surveillance footage, investigators found probable cause to arrest 18-year-old Jayden Fernandez, according to the Plymouth District Attorney’s Office.

The defendant was taken into custody after Massachusetts State Police discovered he was at Newton Wellesley Hospital for a hand injury.

Fernandez faces a murder charge and is scheduled to be arraigned in Brockton District Court on Monday.
