2.6 acres burned in Barrington brush fire

BARRINGTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Department of Environmental Management helped Barrington firefighters put out a brush fire Thursday afternoon.

ABC 6 News Crews arrived around 5 p.m. at the Osamequin Nature Trail and Bird Sanctuary.

Barrington firefighters said roughly 2.6 acres was burned because of the fire.

A Barrington firefighter told ABC 6 that it was a stubborn fire that kept re-igniting and they used foam to attack.

They also received mutual aid from Seekonk fire fighters.
