2-alarm fire in Pawtucket cripples home

PAWTUCKET, R.I. – A two-story home in Pawtucket was seriously damaged after a fire broke out Friday evening.

Firefighters say they responded to 47 Hanover Street after a resident saw their second story porch up in flames.

A young girl who lives in the residence told ABC6 News that they only realized what was happening when drivers started honking outside her home.

She says eight people live there and they all made it out safely.

No details have been released as to how the fire started.
