2 arrested for Breaking and Entering in Ponaganset High School

The Glocester Police department responds to a breaking and entering incident at Ponaganset High School.

Police received a report on or about May 3, at 1:15 a.m. about a breaking and entering at Ponaganset High School.

Upon arrival Officials found a smashed window in the rear of the building and discovered a few items had been taken from inside.

Police arrested Devin Bucci, 18, of Glocester and a juvenile suspect for breaking and entering after surveillance video from the high school revealed they were allegedly responsible for the incident.

After executing a search warrant at Bucci’s residence, Officials seized evidence that lead to their arrest.

Investigators also seized 20 aluminum letters along with a sign that were stolen from the school on two different dates before the incident.

Bucci and the juvenile suspect were charged with Breaking and Entering with the Intent to Commit Larceny, Larceny over and under fifteen hundred dollars, Possession of a Weapon While on School Grounds, Conspiracy and Malicious Damage to Property.

Bucci was arraigned in the Third District Court and was discharged on $5,000 with surety bail. He was ordered not to trespass on Ponaganset High School and property.

He is scheduled to appear in court on July 9. The juvenile was put on home confinement and is awaiting a future court date.
