2 arrested in connection with Woonsocket stabbing death

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Two men have been arrested in connection with the stabbing death of a 32-year-old on Saturday in Woonsocket, according to police.
24-year-old Ibrahim Sylla and 24-year-old Jacob Lopez Diaz were both arrested Sunday night in connection to the death of Christopher Penado on Dec. 7.
Both men were charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy, first-degree robbery, and conspiracy to commit robbery.
Police responded to the Elks Lodge parking lot on Social Street around 6 p.m. Saturday for several people fighting.
When they arrived officers found 32-year-old Christopher Penado suffering from multiple stab wounds.
He was transported to Landmark Hospital and pronounced deceased from his injuries.
Both Sylla and Diaz will be arraigned in court this morning.
