2 dead, 2 others injured in Narragansett car crash

NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WLNE) — Two people were killed and two others injured in an overnight car crash in Narragansett.

Narragansett Police were called to a single-vehicle crash on Mumford Road around 1:00am on Saturday.

Police say 4 people were inside the vehicle. Two occupants, a 26-year-old and 24-year-old, were pronounced dead at the scene. Two others were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Residents have created a memorial at the site.

The crash remains under investigation.
