UPDATE: 2 injured after stabbing at apartment complex in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Two individuals were stabbed this morning after an altercation at 91 Lofts on Hartford Avenue in Providence.

According to officials, officers responded for a report of a stabbing around 1 a.m. and found two subjects suffering from stab wounds stemming from an altercation between them inside of the building on the third floor.

Both subjects sustained apparent non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Rhode Island Hospital where they are both being detained while receiving further treatment.

Detectives were on scene and will be following up in the morning to determine the exact sequence of events and determine the appropriate charges.
