One person was seriously injured and six people were displaced after a building fire broke out in Attleboro early Saturday morning.
The Attleboro Fire department tells ABC 6 the call came in at 1:10 a.m. on May 23 for a report of a fire at 80, 82 and 84 West Street where two people were injured and six people displaced.
Upon arrival they discovered the six people who lived in the three apartments outside including a 20 year old man who suffered serious burns to his arms and legs, and another person who suffered minor injuries.
The 20 year old was taken to Memorial Hospital and transferred to Rhode Island Hospital for further treatment. The other victim was treated for the non-life threatening injuries and released.
They say the fire was under control in about thirty minutes. Fire Officials haven’t determined the cause and are looking at a deck on the second floor where the fire might have started.
