2 killed in Christmas Eve crash in Foster

FOSTER, R.I. (WLNE) — Two people were killed in a head-on crash in Foster on Christmas Eve, according to police.
Officials said they responded to the area on Dec. 24 around 3 p.m. for a report of a motor vehicle accident.
Police found two vehicles in the eastbound lane with heavy front-end damage.
An investigation revealed that a car traveling westbound crossed into the eastbound lanes to pass several cars, when it crashed into the second car.
The driver of the car, identified as 34-year-old Aaron McCrory, of Danielson, Connecticut, was taken to the hospital where he died.
One of the passengers from the second car, identified as 81-year-old Sandi Brooks, of Vernon, Connecticut, was also taken to the hospital where she later died.
The driver of the second car, who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital as in stable condition at this time.
The accident remains under investigation.
