2 Massachusetts congresswomen arrested in DC during abortion rights protest

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WLNE) — Two Massachusetts congresswoman were arrested during an abortion rights protest outside of the U.S. Supreme Court Tuesday.
According to our sister station WCVB-TV, Congresswomen Ayanna Pressley and Katherine Clark were among several congressional members arrested.
WCVB reports the arrests stem from blocking traffic during the protest.
“Congresswoman Pressley joined her colleagues and grassroots advocates for a non-violent civil disobedience to protest the Supreme Court’s cruel and callous decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and strip away abortion rights for everyone who calls America home,” a spokesperson for Pressley told WCVB.
Clark took to Twitter to back her actions.
