2 men arrested in East Providence parking lot incident

A nasty brawl in East Providence left six people injured and two men facing serious charges.
The fight happened at the East Bay Tavern in East Providence this past weekend. The whole thing was caught on surveillance video.
That video shows one woman struck so hard by a punch that she is knocked unconscious. It ends with a man plowing into a group of people speeding out of the parking lot.
We're told 27-year-old Cheikh Thiam of Central Falls was the driver of that car. He is facing several charges including attempted murder.
One female victim suffered a severe laceration where she had to get 3 stitches and 16 staples after her head struck the front passenger side of the vehicle and a male victim suffered from a broken leg and lacerations to his head and bruising through the body.
The other two female victims that were hit by the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Another man, 24-year-old old Amorino Amaral, is facing two counts of felony assault for punching two women.
The first victim suffered from a fractured nose, displacement of a tooth, facial injuries and bruises
The second victim suffered from a fracture in her eye socket and two black eyes.
