PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ Rhode Island health officials have reopened two beaches in Warwick to swimmers after test results from water samples showed safe bacteria levels.
The state Department of Health on Thursday recommended reopening Oakland Beach for swimming. The agency recommended reopening Conimicut Point Beach on Wednesday.
The department said water tests showed bacteria levels have returned to within normal limits.
The state regularly monitors water quality at beaches throughout the summer months to ensure safe conditions for swimmers.
