2 robberies in 11 minutes, police search for suspect

WOONSOCKET, R.I. – The search is on for a busy bank robber in Woonsocket.

Police say on Friday around 12:44 p.m. officers from the Woonsocket Police Department responded to Citizens Bank on Cumberland Street for a report of an attempted robbery.

Not too long after, Woonsocket Police reported around 12:55 p.m. another report was made that the Bank of America on John Cummings Way was robbed.

Authorities say the robber took an undetermined amount of cash.

The Woonsocket Police encourages people with any information leading to the identification and capture of the suspect to call 401-766-1212.
