24-year-old man missing after Lyft ride, police say

LYNN, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police said they’re investigating the disappearance of a man after he didn’t come home from a party on Sunday.
Police said Dickson “Joel” De Los Reyes, of Lynn, got into a Lyft ride-share on Shurtleff Street in the early morning hours of June 11, approximately at 3:42 a.m.
Officials said that Lyft ride was then cancelled at 3:56 a.m. the same day. Once the ride was cancelled, De Los Reyes’ phone dialed 911 and was connected to police in Revere, Massachusetts.
The call was disconnected and several callback attempts were made to reach De Los Reyes, authorities said. Those attempts were unsuccessful.
Police evidence suggests the call was made from the area of American Legion Highway in Revere. De Los Reyes has not been seen or heard from since.
Officials with Massachusetts State Police said their dive teams were actively searching marshland off Route 107 on the Revere, Saugus line for any evidence regarding De Los Reyes’ disappearance.
De Los Reyes is described as a Hispanic man, approximately 5 feet, 3 inches tall, 150lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing what appears to be black pants, a black vest, a white long-sleeved shirt and white sneakers.
Anyone with information regarding De Los Reyes’ whereabouts is asked to contact Massachusetts State Police Headquarters at 978-538-6020 or by calling 911.
