3-alarm fire at old school building in Fall River

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Fire Department said that a fire broke out at the former Frank M. Silvia School building on Hartwell Street on March. 1.

The department said that heavy fire was found in the ceiling of the building that necessitated the striking of a third alarm.

Multiple ladder trucks and hoses were also used outside the building to bring the fire under control.
