3 arrested after alleged disturbance with underage drinking in Glocester

GLOCESTER, R.I. (WLNE) — Three people were arrested after police responded to a large disturbance which allegedly involved underage drinking on July 4, according to Glocester police.
48-year-old Bryan Borzell, of Glocester, was charged with one court of furnishing of alcoholic beverages for underage persons in violation of the Rhode Island Social Host law.
18-year-old Alexander Borzell, of Smithfield, was charged with simple assault on a uniform member of the Glocester Police Department.
37-year-old Rachel Hernandez, of Glocester and Smithfield, was charged with one count of furnishing of alcoholic beverages for underage persons in violation of the Rhode Island Social Host law.
Glocester police responded to a home on July 4 around 9:22 p.m. for a “large disturbance.”
At the scene, officers saw multiple young people “pushing and fighting on the property.”
When Glocester police officers were trying to find the homeowners, the department said Alexander Borzell allegedly kicked a uniformed officer “several times.”
Investigation showed multiple underage people were allegedly drinking on the property and inside the home.
Crews from Burrillville, Smithfield, Scituate, and Rhode Island State Police were called to assist.
Two underage girls were reported to have extreme intoxication.
On July 12, Glocester police arrested Bryan Borzell, Alexander Borzell, and Rachel Hernandez on arrest warrants.
Bryan Borzell was arraigned and released on $1,000 personal recognizance.
Alexander Borzell was arraigned and released on $5,000 personal recognizance.
Rachel Hernandez was arraigned on Monday and released on $1,000.
Glocester police added that Hernandez was charged with driving under the influence with a child under 13 years old on December 30, 2024.
