PAWTUCKET – Two people are dead and five have non-life threatening injuries following a multi-car crash on I-95 in Pawtucket Saturday evening.

State Police tell ABC6 News a brother and sister were killed after their car rolled over. She was 34-years-old and living in Virginia, and he was 27-years-old of Cumberland. The man’s wife was driving the car. She was sent to the hospital. Their names aren’t being released at this time.

The crash happened near Exit 27 at the George Street Overpass around 4:30 p.m., when two cars traveling Southbound crashed, causing one of the cars to lose control, roll over the barrier and hit a third car Northbound.

The four passengers in the other cars were also sent to the hospital.

Every passenger was wearing a seatbelt and neither speed nor alcohol were factors in the crash, according to police. The crash remains under investigation.
