3 families displaced after Fall River house fire

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Fire Department said three families are displaced after a house fire Saturday night.

According to Fall River District Chief David Jennings, firefighters responded to a house on Mott Street for reports of an explosion.

At the scene, firefighters discovered flames on the second floor of the home.

The fire was contained to the second floor and nobody was injured.

The Red Cross is assisting the families that live there.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
