Crawford Notch, N.H. (WLNE) — The New Hampshire Fish and Game Conservation said three Rhode Islanders were rescued from a hiking trail in New Hampshire over the weekend.

Malik Gavek, 23, Dany Gomez, 22, and Jarren Prata, 21, began their hike around 6 p.m. near the Avalon and Mount Willard Trails in Crawford Notch.

They had gone off the trail when they turned around due to cold windy conditions, according to the Department.

Officers were able to find the lost hikers using coordinates from the 911 call, and assisted them to the parking area.

The hikers arrived back to their car at 12:40 a.m., the Department said.

Officers said no injuries were reported.
