3 students discharged, 6 remain hospitalized in Brown University Shooting

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence Mayor Brett Smiley said a third person who was injured in the Brown University Shooting has been discharged from the hospital.

On Dec. 13, two students were killed and several others were wounded after a gunman opened fire inside the Barus and Holley Engineering Building at Brown University.

Nine people were hospitalized, three of whom have since been discharged.

“The parents that I spoke with today all reported that their kids were improving,” Smiley said.

According to Smiley, one remains in critical but stable condition.

The other five are in stable condition.

The FBI is offering up to $50,000 for information related to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the person of interest.

New videos of the person of interest were released Tuesday.
