Summer Heat is On!

Another “Triple H” day, Hazy, Hot, and Humid.  Yesterday we registered 91° at 2:46 PM.  Our normal high is 84°.

Today’s forecast is 92° with a Heat Advisory in effect until tomorrow 7 PM

due to heat indices climbing to 95-100°.

Mostly sunny skies will reign along with some clouds by this afternoon.  Chance for showers and thunderstorms arrives overnight.

Tomorrow features mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of showers and storms.

Temperatures will be in the upper 80s with high humidity in place.  More of a possibility of unsettled weather on Sunday.

Drier by Monday with less humidity.

With the heat impacting our region, let’s keep in mind how dangerous it can get inside a car.

In 90° temperature,  temperatures can soar in a matter of minutes:

10 minutes:  109°

20 minutes:  119°

60 minutes:  124°

It is summer after all, therefore, let’s enjoy the heat while taking precautions.  Enjoy, because before we know it, we’ll be shoveling snow or sleet which has been more common than not due to climate change.
