$47 million in funding given to Clean Water Project
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island delegation gave more than $47 million in funding to the Clean Water Project.
The funding will go toward new drinking water and waste water infrastructure funding in Rhode Island.
The funds were given by the Environmental Protection Agency through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
$7 million of the funds will go toward addressing emerging contaminants such as PFAs.
Other funds will go toward financial savings for clean water and waste water projects.
