FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — A poster was hung on Brightman Street on Wednesday, offering a $5,000 reward for any information about the former Fall River casket company that burnt down Tuesday.

ABC 6 News reached out to the state Fire Marshal and Fall River police to see if they’re investigating the fire as arson and are waiting to hear back.

Fall River District Fire Chief Scott Flannery said when crews arrived at the scene Tuesday night, there was fire on all three floors of the building.

He further explained that their department has prepared for the building to catch fire at least twice in drills, something he said helped the response stay controlled.

The historic building was deemed a total loss and will be demolished at a later date, authorities said.
