52 pot plants found after Foster fire

A fire at a home in Foster Saturday led to the discovery of a marijuana growing operation inside the garage.

Police say they were notified of a structure fire at 59 Kennedy Road and found smoke coming from the property’s unattached garage.

Police say the fire was quickly put out and upon entering the garage the grow operation was found.

Ronald Wilkinson, 53, of Providence, was arrested and charged with one count of Cultivation of Marijuana and one count of Possession of Marijuana.

Police say 52 marijuana plants were seized in the arrest.
