55-year-old cited after car crashed through Goodwill in Attleboro

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — The Attleboro Police Department said the driver who crashed through the front doors of the Goodwill on Washington Street has been cited.
Attleboro police said the 55-year-old driver told officers he “suddenly lunged forward,” resulting in him crashing into the building.
On June 20, the Attleboro Fire Department responded to the store around 3:30 p.m. to find a car resting against clothing racks.
No customers or staff inside the store were struck or injured, and the driver was also uninjured.
A tow truck was used to remove the car.
The Attleboro Building Inspection Department responded to the scene and determined that there was no structural damage to the building.
The 55-year-old driver was cited and will appear in court at a later date.
The store is temporarily closed.
