56-year-old man struck on Route 6 in Swansea

SWANSEA, Mass. (WLNE)- Swansea Police Lieutenant Joseph Martin confirmed with ABC6 News that a 56-year-old man was struck on Route 6 Monday night.

The man was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, his current status is unknown.

The operator of the vehicle was a Somerset resident.

The accident is currently under investigation as reconstruction and detective units remain on scene.
