70-year-old woman taken to hospital after being hit by car in Lincoln

LINCOLN, R.I. (WLNE) — Lincoln police said that a 70-year-old woman had to be taken to the hospital after she was hit by a car Tuesday morning.

Chief Brian Sullivan told ABC 6 News that the woman was hit at the intersection of Old River and Sayles Hill roads just before 6 a.m.

Crews took the woman to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.

Police didn’t specify the extend of her injuries.

No further information was originally released.
