74-year-old killed after being hit by car in Woonsocket

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Woonsocket Police Department said a 74-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a car in a parking lot on Saturday.

Police responded to Diamond Hill Road around 10:30 a.m. and transported the victim to Landmark Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

The department said motorists who were involved in the crash stayed on scene and that accident reconstruction was underway.
