78-year-old dies after West Greenwich auto body fire

WEST GREENWICH, R.I. (WLNE) — The West Greenwich Police Department said a 78-year-old died due to injuries he sustained after a fire at an auto body shop in West Greenwich on July 22.

Garry French died on July 23 after a fire at Simpson’s Auto Care.

French was pulled out of a second-story apartment above the auto shop by a police officer.
