Suspect charged in connection to Branch Avenue shooting

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- A suspect was charged on Monday in connection to the shooting that happened on Branch Avenue back in August.

Andrew Mangru, 22, is being charged with the following:

  • One count of murder
  • One count of discharging a firearm while in commission of a crime of violence
  • One count of domestic assault with a dangerous weapon
  • One count of using a firearm while in commission of a crime of violence
  • One count of domestic assault by strangulation
  • One count of simple assault
  • One count of carrying a pistol without a license

Mangru is set to be arraigned on Monday.
