Mayor Elorza announces new Chief of Staff.

Mayor Jorge Elorza today announced Tuesday morning that Chief of Policy and Innovation Nicole Pollock will transition to serve as Chief of Staff as part of an ongoing restructuring of the Mayor’s executive staff.
“Nicole has proven that she is a dynamic, collaborative leader and an innovative force for progress in the city,” said Mayor Elorza in a press release. “I know that she will continue to move Providence forward in her new role.”
Pollock served as Chief of Policy and Innovation for the administration since February 2015
According to the press release, Pollock has led initiatives to improve and streamline city services, increase data transparency, and measure the effectiveness of the City’s processes and programs.
Current Chief of Staff Tony Simon will be leaving his position with the city in order to pursue a new career opportunity.
The Mayor also announced that Carolyn Arias will serve as Director of Telecommunications; Matthew Shumate will serve as Director of Mayoral Advance; and Angel Subervi will serve as Senior Advisor for Neighborhood Projects.
