Scanlon Wins Singles, Boyer/Kirby Earn Doubles State Titles In Boys Tennis

In the RIIL main draw singles state final, Barrington’s Jason Scanlon topping Smithfield’s Sam Miller, 6-3, 7-5, to win the state championship. For Scanlon, it was his third straight trip to the final and first victory.

Alexander Boyer and Christian Kirby of Hendricken sweeping Simon Redfern and Peter Pond of Wheeler, 6-1, 6-0, to earn the doubles state title.
