Barn destroyed by fire in Seekonk; 1 firefighter sent to hospital

Fire crews battled a large barn fire on Miller Road in Seekonk, Massachusetts.

Reports of explosions came in just before 5 a.m. early Monday morning. 

When crews arrived on the scene, they found flames shooting through the roof.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to just the barn and kept it from spreading to the house attached to it. 

None of the occupants of the house were injured. However, one firefighter was transported to the hospital for heat exhaustion. 

The barn contained farming equipment and supplies. The barn is a total loss.
