Penguins serve as ‘celebrity lighters’ for festive blue bug lighting

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- “Nibbles,” the Big Blue Bug was lit with Christmas lights on Monday evening to kick off the holiday season.

The ceremonial lighting happened at 5:45 p.m. in the parking lot of Big Blue Bug Solutions.

Penguins from Mystic Aquarium were at the ceremony to serve as “celebrity lighters” for 29th annual lighting.
