Former Cranston West Star Leigh Petranoff Qualifies for Javelin Final at Olympic Trials in Eugene

Former Cranston West star Leigh Petranoff  has qualified for the finals of the javelin at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, OR.

Petranoff threw the javelin 171-feet, 9 inches to finish 10th.  The top 12 qualified for the finals.  Leigh’s dad, Tom competed in two Olympics, and once held  the world record in the javelin.
