Police: Bank robbery suspect lit bank on fire

A bank robbery turned into a fire in North Providence.

Around 10:30 Wednesday morning police responded to the Citizen’s Bank on Mineral Spring Avenue for a bank robbery.

It turns out the suspect then started lighting things no fire, including a safe.

The suspect is now in police custody. No one was injured.

The bank is closed for now, but no word on when it will reopen.
