Man who assaulted two ACI Correctional Officers due in court today

A man attacked two correctional officers at the ACI Monday night.

26-years-old Jesse Gabriau arrived at the ACI to meet with Probation and Parole to have batteries in his ankle monitor replaced.

Police say Gabriau showed up intoxicated. Guards then attempted to arrest him for violating the terms of his bail. He then became violate and badly injured two ACI Correctional Officers.

The suspect fled the scene in his car. He was later tracked down to a home on Highland Avenue in West Warwick where he was arrested.

Gabriau is facing several felony and misdemeanor charges including two accounts on an officer, assault of a person over sixty, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

Gabriau was charged with child molestation back in May of 2016.

He is due is district court today to face new charges.
