TAUNTON, Mass. – The man arrested for driving drunk and crashing into a motorcycle in Rehoboth, killing the driver, has pleaded not guilty.
Bail for Jeffrey Fisk, Jr. of Rehoboth was set at $50,000 cash. If released, he must be monitored by a GPS and can’t drink alcohol or drive.
Police say Fisk, 40, was drunk when he crossed over the center line near an intersection on Agricultural Avenue Saturday afternoon, colliding his truck head-on with a motorcycle, killing Anthony Kishfy, 63, of Seekonk.
Fisk refused to take blood and breathalyzer tests after police noticed he smelled like alcohol and was walking unsteadily, according to court documents.
His lawyer argued Fisk was not drunk and walked off-balance because he is missing a toe and recently had a skin graft removed on his foot.
Kishfy was a cancer survivor. Loved ones say he bought the motorcycle as a gift to himself after he successfully battled the disease.
