Airport security heightened

Warwick, R.I. – The deadly attack in Turkey once again sparking debate over airport security. It happened at one of the busiest airports in the world, where security is already pretty tight. Travelers at Istanbul’s Ataturk airport are required to undergo double security screenings, but security isn’t as tight at the airports arrival halls outside.
Tuesday night’s explosions happened close to two passenger checkpoints, between the parking lot and the check in hall. The issue now concerning travelers at local airports. "I’ve traveled to Europe where they have the militia guards standing around and I almost think we need that here,” says one traveler from Atlanta.
While security is tighter inside at T.F. Green following the attacks, we saw only a few police officers outside. Many say more safeguards need to be provided to travelers. "I think more needs to be done even if that means waiting in line longer, " says Danette Smith.
But after this recent attack, airport security is once again at the fore–front. TSA officials are looking into screening vehicles coming into airports.
