The man charged in connection to a home invasion on Father’s Day is being held on surety bail.
26-year-old Lee Gervais was in court Thursday, facing a number of charges including breaking and entering, assault on a person sixty years or older, felony larceny, and disorderly conduct and vandalism.
Police say he and another man broke into 72-year-old Lynn Stevens’ home on Victory Highway, sending Stevens to the hospital and stealing a pistol.
He was arrested by Woonsocket Police Wednesday on Chester St while exiting a motor vehicle and then turned over to No. Smithfield Police. Gervais is a probation violator stemming from a 2008 Felony Assault Charge, and is on bail for a Breaking and Entering charge and Possession of a Weapon other than a Firearm charge.
Police say this is an ongoing investigation.
