Boy drowns in East Greenwich pool

East Greenwich, RI – A 7- yr- old boy drowned in a pool Saturday in East Greenwich. The incident occurred on Bow St. during a party at the home.
The boy was pulled from the water after being face down in the pool. Officials performed CPR at the scene and he was rushed to Kent Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The victim was a student at Meadowbrook Elementary School.
Police are calling it a "tragic accident".
