Man shot on front porch in Providence

Police say a 22-year-old man was shot while sitting on a front porch in the city’s Hartford neighborhood.

The shooting happened on Hartford Avenue around 9:45 p.m. Saturday.

The victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital in critical condition.

Police have not released the man’s identity.

The area is being canvassed as part of investigation.

There are no suspects in custody.
