Elderly man attacked in home invasion

An elderly man was injured during a home invasion in North Smithfield.

Police say two masked men forced their way in around noon Sunday and assaulted 72–year–old Lynn Stevens.

The suspects then ransacked his Victory Highway home before taking off.

Stevens was taken to the hospital with non–life threatening injuries.

Any one with information on the assault is asked to call police.
