House Committee passes “Revenge Porn” bill

Providence, R.I.- The House Judiciary Committee passed the "Revenge Porn" bill Tuesday. The bill, sponsored by Rep. Robert Craven (D-District 32, No. Kingstown), and Rep. Carol Hagan McEntee (D- District 33, So. Kingstown), makes it illegal to post sexually explicit photos from being posted online without consent. The legislation also has the support of RI Attorney General Peter Kilmartin.
The bill now heads to the House floor.
