The Jamestown police officer killed in a wrong-way crash on interstate 95 is being laid to rest Saturday.
Officials from several police and fire departments gathered at Saints John & Paul Church in Coventry to pay their last respects to Patrolman Ryan Bourque.
Officer Bourque was killed early Monday on I-95 South in East Greenwich on the one-year anniversary of his graduation from the police academy.
Police say the 24-year-old patrolman was heading home to Coventry after finishing up his 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. shift when his car was hit head-on by another vehicle being driven the wrong way. The driver, 23-year-old Dejae Pizarro of Bedford, Massachusetts, was also killed.
