Heavy rain causes Memorial Day parades to be canceled

Several Memorial Day parades have been canceled due to inclement weather.

The following parades have been canceled:

Rhode Island:

  • Johnston: Canceled
  • Bristol: Canceled
  • Riverside: Canceled
  • South Kingstown: Parade canceled. Indoor ceremony is at 11 A.M. – South Kingstown High School
  • Westerly/Pawcatuck, CT: Parade canceled. The indoor ceremonies will start at 10:00 A.M. at 160 South Broad St Pawcatuck, Connecticut at VFW Post 1265.

Massachusetts:

  • Attleboro: Rescheduled for Saturday, June 7, at 10 A.M.
  • Fairhaven: Parade canceled. Indoor ceremony at Town Hall. 
  • New Bedford: Parade canceled. Ceremony at Clasky Park, noon time.
