PawSox 1st Baseman Sam Travis to Have Surgery on Torn ACL

The PawSox received a blow when star first baseman Sam Travis was diagnosed with a torn ACL in his left knee.  He will have surgery at a time yet to be determined and will be out for the season.  Travis suffered the injury during a rundown in a game against Indianapolis on Saturday at McCoy.  Travis had a strong first two months of the season, batting .272 with 6 home runs.
